Working with the data sidebar

The data sidebar is used to bring data into templates from data connections. Data components used in templates include visualizations, dimensions, measures, tables, pivot tables, and dynamic text.

Choosing a data source

In a new template, the first step of working with the data sidebar is choosing a data source. Depending on the data connections your administrator has configured, you may see several options in the data sidebar, including, for example, Qlik Sense or Sisense.

Depending on the data source you choose, the data sidebar will enumerate content in the data source available to use in the template. You can also search this content using the search box. To add any of this content, you can drag it into the template.
