Apply filters to template components

Template components including specific pages, dynamic text boxes, tables, pivot tables, and visualizations can be filtered on specific dimension values. Template filters are persisted into the template, but may be superseded by task level filters - see order of precedence for filters for more details.

  • Click Filters in the sidebar navigation

View effective filters for a template component

Because filters are additive, as described in Getting started with filtering, you may wish to view the effective filters for a given component, i.e., the resultant filters that apply to a component once filters at all levels have been combined following the order of precedence.

To view the effective filters:

  • Click a template component
  • If filters are applied, the lower right corner of the template editor window will display the effective filters
