Before you install ConnectReport Server, be sure to review the following items.
System Requirements
Check whether the target system meets the minimum requirements. We do not recommend running ConnectReport in a production environment with the minimum system requirements - for production deployments we have a minimum recommendation.

Service Account
If you plan to run ConnectReport using a service account (optional), you may follow the steps below to create one:
- On the target system, open Computer Management.
- From the sidebar, navigate to Local Users and Groups
- Open the Users folder
- Right-click and choose New user...
- Enter a username and password for the ConnectReport service account
- Uncheck User must change password at next login
- Check Password never expires
- Click Create
- Double click on the newly created user
- Open Local Security Policy
- Open the Local Policies folder
- Open the User Rights Assignment folder
- Locate and open the Log on as service entry
- Click Add User or Group
- Enter the name of the ConnectReport service account that you created
- Open Command Prompt
- Run the command gpupdate
